One of the most daunting tasks of a salesperson is the presentation. This is where you either “make it ” or “break it”. For some people the presentation seems effortless. They stand up and always seem at ease in front of others delivering their message. The rest of us sit in amazement at their polish and relaxed style. We are wondering what their lifestyle is like. We even begin to change our lifestyle to resemble theirs in an effort to get even a fraction of their”perfect pitch”.

Trying to become like someone else is a waste of time. Learning from someone else and incorporating your own style is much more worthy of your time. There really is no such thing as perfect pitch unless you are referring to music. All you really want to do is to connect with your audience whoever they may be.

One of the best ways to develop a relaxed style is to approach the presentation as though you have nothing to lose. When you place too much pressure on the outcome, what gets lost is the content! Become a student of other people and how they operate. Take what will work for you and throw away the rest!

Give more service than is required and it will be returned to you tenfold!
