A fire burns in the Plaza Towers Elementary School in Moore

In the aftermath of a storm, much work has to be done. Not the work that generally comes to mind. Buildings can be reconstructed and debris will get cleaned up. But for those who survived, the work that needs to be done is on the inside. Their scars will heal and broken bones will mend. The true toll that has been taken is emotional and spiritual in its form.

How does one combat nature,or explain why those who remain were not hurt or missing in the chaos that storms create.Being grateful for surviving is only the beginning. True healing will come with the release of all the sorrow over those who are forever outside our grasp. Day by day a little at a time the memories of loved ones will bring comfort instead of pain. This rebuilding takes time, effort, prayer and congregating as a community.
