Consider this. Walls are built one brick or stone at a time. In life our bricks or stones are comprised of experiences we have had with other people or situations. Once built they are a mighty fortress for us to stay behind. Our safety valve against those who might potentially do us harm. We peek out once in a while from our walls to see others and what they are doing. Then from the safety of our fortress we decide when and who we will interact with.

This sort of safeguarding is actually a self imposed prison one whose bricks or stone are built with sadness, guilt and anger. It is only when we decide to begin to dismantle these walls that we allow what we really want into our existence. Harboring sadness, guilt and anger is the same as keeping negative people in our existence. Releasing these emotions from our daily lives is the one true way to free our minds and open the endless possibilities life still has to offer.
